Entertainment professionals describe recording artist and songwriter Angelica Salem as a strong triple threat: a gifted singer, dancer and actor. A charming, slim 5’8” brunette with striking blue eyes, Angelica’s enchanting voice won her first place in the New York and Orlando “Behind the Scenes: American Idol.” She has recorded with major Manhattan music producers and Metro-area recording artists. Angelica has sung the national anthem at professional sporting events and northeast dance ceremonies, has been a featured soloist in choirs, and performed in over a dozen musicals. A natural on stage, Angelica has appeared in "The Flute Player's Song" in the New York Film Festival and has toured with the ‘No Hate but Harmony’ troupe. Angelica’s fourteen years of professional dance training have earned her numerous performances and awards. She is a dancer in the Locust Contemporary Dance Works I company under the direction of world-renown choreographer Jimmy Locust. She has competed and medaled in national and international Irish dance championships and appeared as a featured dancer on Good Morning Connecticut Channel 8. Angelica is devoted to making a difference in her community and beyond. In 2009, she founded a non-profit foundation, “Voice of an Angel,” to help financially-struggling young people and families. Born and raised in Stamford, CT, Angelica volunteers her time teaching children Irish dancing at Stamford’s Pender-Keady Academy of Irish Dance.
